Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic physicians are licensed by the state of Connecticut to diagnose and treat illnesses with natural therapeutics. They receive four years of medical training, including a two-year clinical internship. Naturopathic medicine is science-based and naturopathic physicians possess excellent diagnostic skills. The natural therapies and the philosophy on which naturopathy is based have been effectively used for centuries.

Treatment modalities include dietary and lifestyle recommendations, nutritional supplementation, phytomedicines, physical medicine and counseling. Each case is studied thoroughly, and conventional laboratory tests, imaging, and referrals to other physicians may be advised. The primary approach is to use the least invasive treatment required for the patient’s condition.

Insurance  Dr. Jennifer is a provider for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and Oxford, and will submit all other insurance claims as a courtesy to her patients. We will check your insurance benefits, as many plans have naturopathic coverage for out of network providers. For patients without insurance coverage, a 20% discount is offered for services rendered.

Chiropractic Medicine

The chiropractic approach to health care is holistic, with the vision to see the human body as much more than the sum of its parts. Stressing the patient's overall well being, it recognizes that many factors affect health, including exercise, diet, rest, environment and heredity. Chiropractic focuses on maintaining optimal health naturally so that the body is better able to resist disease, rather than simply treating the symptoms of disease. Chiropractic is a drug-free, non-surgical science and, as such, does not include pharmaceuticals or incisive surgery.

Chiropractic can provide relief and healing, and promote optimal functioning to a diverse range of conditions. Dr. Mark has great success treating conditions like:

Insurance Dr. Mark is a provider for many insurance companies including, but not limited to, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Corvel, First Health Network, United Health Care, HealthNet, Landmark, PHCS and Medicare. He submits all insurance claims as a courtesy to his patients. During the initial visit, we will check your insurance benefits, as many plans have chiropractic coverage for out of network providers. Dr. Mark also accepts personal injury cases and is a provider for many worker's compensation plans.

Holistic Medispa

Currently, we offer:

• Constitutional Hydrotherapy- a unique naturopathic therapy combining contrasting temperature applications and electric muscle stimulation. Constitutional hydrotherapy combats fatigue and boosts vitality, immune function and overall health.
• Detoxifying Body Wraps - enveloped in a flannel application soaked with phytochemicals and minerals, this therapy enhances the release of chemical toxins through the skin. This therapy progresses through three phases: an invigorating cooling phase, a relaxing neutral phase and finally the warming detoxifying phase where toxins are expelled.
• Customized Nutritional Programs designed to fit the needs and lifestyle of each patient. Physical Medicine

Physical medicine provides relief and healing to a wide variety of conditions. For example, many patients with disc problems can greatly benefit from automated disc traction therapy, often avoiding the need for surgery. Hypertonic muscles can be addressed with electric muscle stimulation, while patients with rheumatoid arthritis can acheive relief through parrafin hand baths. Care plans are also designed for people suffering from injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents and sports.
